As i lie down and look heavenwards
The blue hue of the night disappears
The stars twinkle
The moon winks down on me
Happiness is overrated
But while I stay here, I find my happy
The moonlight drives the darkness away from my soul
The silence pacifies my raging emotions
The singing crickets soothe me
A vast expanse of the night sky unfolds
Shimmering lights from a thousand stars
The moon, a lit chandelier in this world of mine
My mournful soul rejoices
My bliss rediscovered
My inner person revealed
Under the moonlight I lie, content.
