Just a Dream

They gorged his eyes out
tore his skin by whips
poured cold water on his limp body
a final touch to the extreme makeover
but it was just a dream

Her body, grazed by bullets
a bad target choice
a pool of blood the colour scheme
life eclipse yet a pulse beats strong
but it was just a dream

Them, sprayed with bullets
lay sprawled out under the scorching sun
bodies maimed and blood shed
a butchery in the making
but it was just a dream

Me, a victor
calling whatever I hit the target
splattered brains mix in the pool of blood
skeletons in my closet
waking up dazed
it was only a nightmare
